Single Balloon Enteroscopy

Endoscopy treatment.

Single balloon enteroscopy is used to examine the entire length of the small intestine. It produces images that enable the physician to evaluate suspicious or potentially cancerous tissue in the small intestine by directly examining the cells to determine if they are normal or abnormal. This allows for immediate treatment if necessary as well as the possibility of targeted, less-invasive treatment options.
